Aimee Romero, account executive, joined the MassMedia team in 2010 as the media relations specialist in the Las Vegas office. She has a special knack for "real-time marketing," which means she seizes opportunities to get her clients in the news and makes it happen. As an account executive in the healthcare division, Aimee's unique, real-time style lands her results for her healthcare clients.
Aimee's media career spans more than a decade, both coasts and countless major news stories. From the discovery of the kidnapped Utah teen, Elizabeth Smart, to the destruction caused by Hurricane Katrina, it's Aimee second nature to deliver emotional and relevant news content to a mass audience. Her broadcasting career started at the ABC affiliate in Las Vegas, where she worked in every aspect of news production and information marketing. In 2004, Aimee moved south to the NBC affiliate in Charlotte, North Carolina, where she spent 3 years as the Senior Producer of Creative Services. While in Charlotte, her team's on-air sweeps campaign for a hidden-camera restaurant health inspection won a Midsouth Regional Emmy Award for topical news promotion. Aimee missed the desert heat and returned home to Las Vegas to take up ranks as Promotion Manager at the top-rated CBS affiliate. Over the course of her career, Aimee has worked with MSNBC, HBO, The Discovery Channel, The Learning Channel, ABC News and Dateline, plus managed promotional affiliate relations with syndicated shows Oprah and Ellen.
Aimee's years of experience in news marketing and media strategy paid off for clients once she entered the world of public relations. In 2008, she joined the Nevada Department of Public Safety's Traffic Safety division as the Public Information Officer. Most recently, Aimee was a media relations consultant for local political campaigns.
She has secured a wide spectrum of media coverage for many healthcare groups and physicians, including Humana, Nevada Spine Clinic, Women's Cancer Center of Nevada, Abrams Eye Institute and Good Night Pediatrics.
Aimee received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
