As an Account Executive at MassMedia Healthcare Marketing, Melissa assists the firm's account executives by implementing communication strategies and tactics for various healthcare clients, including HealthCare Partners of Nevada, GoodNight Pediatrics and Nevada Head Start State Collaboration and Early Childhood Systems.
Her responsibilities include advertising activities, special event planning, writing and distributing press materials, online marketing support and media relations outreach.
Prior to joining MassMedia, Melissa spent more than five years in advertising and marketing with a specialization in account management and healthcare marketing. Over the course of her career, Melissa has been involved in social media, account planning and event marketing. Her career started in El Paso, Texas at Mithoff Burton Partners where she took on the hybrid title of assistant production manager and account executive for the agency's largest account, Sierra Providence Health Network. In 2009, Sierra Providence recruited Melissa as a marketing coordinator responsible for planning and executing network corporate events and community outreach events for the hospital network and the Children's Hospital at Providence.
Most recently, she worked at the McCormick Company in Amarillo, Texas, as an account manager responsible for the day-to-day supervision of client accounts.
Melissa graduated from the University of Texas, El Paso with a Bachelor of Arts in communications with an emphasis on media advertising. She is a member of the Junior League of Las Vegas and has been an active member and supporter of the Junior League of Amarillo and the Junior League of El Paso.
